Default Cobblestone Valentine's Romantic Comedy

The Valentine Monologues 2008
Word Count: 10k-40k
Genre: Romantic Comedy (erotic preferred)
POV: FIRST Person Only
Must be submitted by November 15, 2007

Sassy, romantic, and funny-- it's all about being a girl and falling in love with the right guy on Cupid's day. We also accept mainstream/sensual romance of all genres that are Valentine themed stories for release around the V-Day celebration.

All other standard submission guidelines apply.

Found it.
Okay so who's going to try to write one?

I have my idea in my head. I'm going to merge two stories that I have started. Of course that might give me a grand total of 3k to start with but I'll finally have a use for them. Now to see if I can finish in time...

*edited*
Oops hang on. First person POV. Hmm never done that, don't like to do that. Got so excited I missed that. I could write it in third and change to first. hmmm dunno. Now I have to think about it. Tartar sauce!

Okay, I've got a Valentine's Day Disaster, a kidnapping, and a serious seduction. 1st person POV. I'm good !

Good luck!

I recently did a story in first person POV...I think it's really fun! But, I'm so in the middle of working on Vampire Oracle: Chalice and trying to rip apart an old story and edit it into something decent....I may have to pass. Sigh. I'm not all that good at comedy...so perhaps it's for the best.

*hugs* perhaps you will find time Erika, or But to be honest I'd rather see you work on Chalice. I can't wait to read all the books!

I've never tried First person POV so we'll see. And if Cobblestone doesn't like it, oh well. I tried, right? But I do need to work on Moon and finish edits first. You write well in 3rd Aline.

Yolanda Thanks

You can do comedy Jess we'll do it together heheh When you finish Tuesday's Child.

I gave in to my desire. So far in 2 hours I managed 818 words. Not bad considering I'm home alone with the 4 kiddos and it's the weekend so they are all hyper. I already did 1500 on another story so we'll see. I hope to hit 1500 on this by midnight so I'll have a good head start This will be closer to 10k than 40, but that's okay, it's my first attempt at first person pov.

Hope everyone else is doing good on their stories!

Blame it on me I bet it rocks too!!

I'm at 2,063 already on mine and I just started it today. My heroine is such a tease. I can't believe I'm writing a hero as a Beta. Maybe he'll turn into an alpha, but I love him as he is.

I hope you finish soon so that you can get back to your other WIPS

I finished mine...my muse hopped up and down until I got it written, polished, and submitted...then SHE took a vacation (the witch)...

But, I'm back to Chalice now and at 5K or so....and we've had our first disaster and I'm setting the stage for the second one....(my poor hero, snicker)

Sooo, it's only 10/29 and I'm still finishing up my Vday story. What can I say? I crumble under pressure LOL. But if I don't finish it in time, no reason it can't just be a story that happens to take place on valentine's LOL

*shrugs*
We'll see. I did 3k on it this weekend and have just over 3k to meet the 10k minimum. If it happens, it happens. I'm just too tired to push myself.
Book fairs, school parties, girls scouts for 3, softball, dance for 4 kids. I need a definite vacation to write
